The location of the market is global. Online presence can originate from anywhere. At first, I will operate locally, within 50 miles of NYC. The market lives online, and after I build up my reputation in the local industry it will become easier to broaden my reach of the market outward. Small businesses exist everywhere, so location doesn’t have as much weight as making the connection does. My work can be done on a computer from anywhere else in the world, so long as there’s an internet connection.

I would look at demographic groups of people ages 18 and older, who own their own or manage a business. the person would be interested in buying services to have a web presence built for them. They would also need to be able to meet me somewhere less than 50 miles from NYC or be open to web meetings.

The market I am working for is small businesses. Mainly, the businesses that need to establish an online presence. The owners of these businesses will be looking for ways to improve their presence online but do not know how. Business owners who have a once successful business, but since have been losing customers due to their lack of online availability.

The markets I am working in are web marketing and web design. There can be many thing involved in the broad area of web marketing (social media, email, ads) but I will be focusing on the building of the website.

Currently, my short term goal is to graduate from East Stroudsburg university with a degree. After that, I would like to start building up my freelance career. I would build websites and design logos and things of that nature.

Recently I’ve been starting to do this by reaching out to business owners who have a business but no website. I have a couple of projects done already and looking for more.

I have been using YouTube, along with this website to promote myself professionally.

To reach my ideal customer I would first start by scouting out small businesses within my operating area. Using that data, I would then figure out which of the businesses did not have a website or updated information on the web. I would finally then reach out to these businesses with statistics and reasoning for why they need to boost their online presence and how I can help them along the process. I would prepare some samples of my work and a mockup site for what theirs could potentially look like. Then set up an in-person meeting and hope for them to buy!

My niche is the relations to the customer alongside knowledge and skill. There are many competitors in the market, but they’re mostly general web design. Whereas I am specializing in designing websites for small businesses. I would also be able to manage social media pages upon request, but it would not be advertised.
